| | | | The first step is to make an enquiry about a mortgage. This can be done by completing the online enquiry form or by calling 0800 528 2838. We can also call you, via the link on the left of this page. If you have completed the online enquiry form a Customer Representative will call you on the telephone number you’ve provided. At this stage they will collect some basic information and arrange for a GE Money Mortgage Advisor to come and meet you in your home or another convenient place for you. A GE Money Mortgage Advisor will discuss your financial commitments with you and advise the best product options for your situation. If you are happy to proceed with the recommendation, you will be issued with a Key Facts Illustration that contains the product details. At this point you’ll be asked if you have buildings and contents insurance. If you don’t, we may be able to help. Our Processing Team will contact you to arrange a valuation on your property or the property you’re intending to purchase. They will set up a time suitable for you where the Valuer can come and make an assessment. This process takes approximately 30 minutes and requires you to be present. Once the valuation is complete, our Processing Team will call you to book a second appointment. At this stage the Mortgage Advisor will assist you with completing an application form and take copies of documents to verify your address and identity, such as pay slips and passports. When your application has been approved, our Processing Team will send you a Mortgage Offer Letter that you will need to sign and send back to us. A member of the Processing Team will call you and advise when the funds will be released into your account. This completes the application process.
